The BrainGuage – An Inexpensive, Non-invasive Test of Brain Function
It’s like a simple video game that is the most sensitive measure of overall brain function and it’s available now, in my office!
Developed by neuroscientists at the University of North Carolina with grants from the US Navy and the NFL.
Simple but scientifically valid tool for measuring your brain function.
Completely non-invasive.
Many patients actually enjoy the test.
Developed as a method of rapidly detecting brain injury from concussions.
Used in the military and contact sports.
Sensitive enough to pick up brain dysfunction from all causes including dementia and Alzheimer’s.
SPECIAL OFFER: $40 for full BrainGuage Evaluation, printout and short consultation on results.
More about the BrainGauge
I use it for both initial diagnosis and to track progress in Brain Regeneration. A home model is available to track progress remotely.
It works by vibrating two fingers and asking a series of questions about which finger was stimulated first, which was strongest, etc. Although the test seems simple, there is a great deal of neurology and computer science behind it. The researchers from UNC have used this in a pilot study to follow the progress of a group of military veterans who had been concussed. The vets were treated using a PEMF – pulsed electromotive force – device, also developed by these researchers. They were able to show remarkable healing of brain function both using the BrainGuage and in life function.
During each test, the two tips will ‘buzz’ your fingers in a specific way. The BrainGuage app will ask questions about what you felt, and then analyze your responses using clinically-proven neuroscience. In less than 15 minutes you can complete a comprehensive brain health assessment and gain valuable insight into your mental fitness.
Here is an actual report from a patient who has been exposed to mold mycotoxins. With this tool we can easily track progress and see results in real time. We keep tabs on brain conditions such as ADHD or Alzheimer’s and follow the effects of treatment over time.
This technology is now available in my office. Using it as an assessment tool and combining it with non-drug, lifestyle and nutritional interventions, we can track recovery from cognitive decline, whether from Alzheimer’s or post concussion syndrome.
The BrainGuage is available in a home unit for $499. Currently I am offering testing with the professional model for $40.
